TRAMPLED TO DEATH

They tore down trees and cleared the land.

They ploughed the soil in ways unplanned.

Let loose a million hard-hoofed beasts,

to chew and trample what remained.

They did not reckon nature's wrath.

She blew the soil into the sea.

The soil she took so long to make.

The ruler of the earth is she.

Grand Dame Nature. Mother earth.

One goddess to rule them all.

Demands respect and has the power,

to giveth and to taketh all.
